multi-media problems over lan(smb)
local files work fine from the drive. smb share now starts the video, a few seconds later the avi stops and goes back to xbmc video folder i started from. happens with all viedeo files, ogm, dvd iso, avi (uncompdressed, divx, xvid...), mpeg, anything from smb?
i also tested mp3 to see if it was just vid. i start the first song of the mp3 folder and it just starts skipping to the next song after a few seconds.
finally i tested with a file copy from the lan to the drive and it stops after a few seconds. after a few days of testing different settings, reading posts, posting posts, nothing has come up. here is my log, hope some one can lend a hand.
xbmc.log including the video problem, mp3 problem and file transfer problem. hope that this counts as one problem and i don't get banned?

Modify (or create) the file called Advancedsettings.xml in HOME/Userdata
and include the lines that set the Samba Timeout:

This setting might be too low in your current build. People complained about their SMB bookmarks reacting slowly, and requested that this timeout setting would be adjusted.
Try a setting of 40 seconds, and see if your videos stop dropping to the menu.

it seems the belkin is making the signal dye out (not only on the xbox, but all data transfer other than internet) with nics other than belkin. i have tried other wireless routers and access points, and they work fine. hope this helps some one out there.
