  • My husband went on a 4th interview for a company that wine and dine him for 5 hours, the he met with the HR manager to give him the detail of the salary , and gave him benefit package for insurance, and told him they would be back with him in a week to send him for a mental exam.. It been two week...should we be worry, or should we call at this point, or send an email?


  • If they said a week, and it's been two, he should call them. Since he had a lot of face time calling is the best way and just have him be nice and said he wanted to make sure things were going okay since it's been 2 weeks since they last spoke.


  • Your husband should have gotten back to them way before now! You don't wait for two weeks! I am assuming he did the proper thing and sent a thank you letter for the interview and the dining? By all means, call immediately. And ask if a fomal offer is coming.

    Usually in a 4th interview is when they already decided who is going to get the job. For me it sounds a bit weird.
    Interviews are held by HR managers or assistants, and as far as I know they don't invite an applicant to wine and dine.
    I'm sorry to say this, I am not saying that he did not meet the HR manager, but wine and dine?
    I hope they will call, but after two weeks I doubt it.
    No company invest in inviting applicants for not giving them a job, unless they really think they want him or she. If that so then and there they will offer the job.


  • He should call right away, they may just be waiting to see how much he really wants the job, or someone could have forgotten to call and set up the appointment.


  • Yes he should call as soon as possible and ask about the status of the offer.


  • Nothing wrong with sending an email as a follow up, just to show them again that he's interested.

    Not hearing from them doesn't necessarily mean that someone else has been hired, this might have been placed on the back-burner because of other more priority things.

    You need to be flexible and patient when in this position.
