c0000008 invalid handle on SAMBA shares

  • after i downloaded xbmc 2006-05-06 i got the error:
    error: smbdirectory->getdirectory: unable to open directory : 'smb://192.168.0.106/'
    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * unix_err:'16' nt_err : 'c0000008' error : 'invalid handle'


    * * * * workgroup
    * * * * 192.168.0.106
    * * * * (smb) network
    * * * * firstname lastname
    * * * * -
    * * * * -
    * * * * 10
    *

    cause: i was using a username with spaces (firstname lastname) on my smb definition in xboxmediacenter.xml
    xbmc translated it into firstname+lastname.

    :idea: when i changed it into a name without spaces (ie firstname. everything is ok :thumbsup:

    don't forget to define this user on your smb :saint:

    i searched for hours :nuts:
