what is the highest level you've played?

  • just wondering what level of soccer bigsoccer members have reached? the highest i played was ODP.

  • yes very.. verry political..
well here in kentucky it is, one year I make it to the state team, and compete in region 2, next year i dont even make the state team pool.
it was a new coach from another area. bastard.
but its a high level of play and def. worth trying out for

  • Thanks for the info.
So are Olympic ploayers actually brought in from the state pools?

  • ODP was the highest for me.
I would've played in college but my school didn't have a team.
    ...art schools...
I guess we're not supposed to be athletic and artistic.

  • PDL is the highest level you can play without going pro. It's the most competitive soccer I've ever played...so take from that whatever you want.

  • How do people get in to ODP?
Right now I'm playing u-16 select in Gainesville, FL. Does anybody know about how to break into that realm. isn't that where a lot of recruiting takes place?

  • I'm playing college right now and play PDL in the summer.

  • Hawaii Tsunami, USISL

where would that put me on the poll?

    if you're getting paid...you're a professsional.

  • Classic A for an age higher than me. I could play premier for my age group...but I like playing with older people b/c I will be ready for physical play. Classic A in NC is one level below premier....

  • I played college but was never really good enough to play pro. There were few pro opportunities when I got out of college anyway.

  • I'm pissed off because my college club team is turning into a varsity NAIA program next fall after I graduate. But our team sucks anyway, since my U19 team is better than my team now.

  • Premier Development League

It's designed for collegiate players to play in a professional atmosphere and still maintain the "amateur" status. We played pro teams all summer long...so it was a good way to keep fit and keep match sharpness. Plus, you're playing with and against some of the best players in the country.

I'm sure you have one near where you live. They are affiliated with pro teams. Most A-league and D3 Pro teams have a PDL team.

If you do have one. Try out next summer...it'll be worth it.

depending on the state, it can get a little political. :( but suppossedly, all you need to do is try out. it does help you get noticed.

  • My rec league has an A and a B division. I once played in an A game when they were short of players. Damn they are fast. That was my moment of glory.

  • I might sound stupid whats PDL?

  • ODP...requires NO recruiting. You simply try out. If you're good enough...you make the team for a specific region of your state...then come State tryouts...then region tryouts...then nationals.

  • i'm not sure what is higher. i played in college at the division III level, but i'm not sure that my club/select U19 team that i played on wasn't better.
