When Obama announced his bit to run the Republicans laughed and said " Ha Ha! Sure! We want him to run. Ha Ha!!Who would have ever dreamed that a mixed race man with the name Barack Hussain Obama would be elected President?
He ran the most brilliant campaign that I have seen in 50 years - in essence, he redefined political campaigning. He addressed all the issues he knew would come out almost before they came out and surely put a damper on the Faux News machine.
... and two months before ... the Republicons got scared ...Because they had a plan to beat Hillary Clinton and that was all thrown out the window when the Democratic Party made their decision to pick Obama as their candidate.
Yes Hillary is a great candidate but many Americans found her to be more like a sidekick than an actual competitor for the presidency. And when she started talking about Bill Ayers and 3 A.M. phone calls she seemed desperate. I doubt Hillary would have won the states that Obama had won in the general election.Is this a "knock knock" joke?What is really gonna be funny, is when Obama raises taxes on the rich and the poor, and does not pull the troops out of Iraq, runs the economy in the ground, and government spending is increased 10 fold.
Then no-one will be laughing?I believe they greatly underestimated the ignorance of the democratic party...They knew they were going to LOSE. Big-time.They never imagined that a black man (or 50% black) could win the election. They figured that the Republicans would have an easy win.The economy tanked, and the Republicans realized their candidate had little to no hope of winning.They didn't believe that this country was ignorant enough to elect an inexperienced socialist. They banked on America not being ready for a President that did not look like any of the other Presidents.But the sagging economy sure did trump that thought.They wanted him to be the nominee because they they had a better chance at him rather than Hilary.
They stopped laughing because Obama was winning.Hillary was harder to beat...or so they thought.We thought people knew better. Even dems....should have known that one.I wasn't laughing. because he was an easier person to beat than Clinton would have been
Had the economy not tanked Obama would have lost the electionBecause they honestly thought he couldn't win.Two reasons:
-They really, really hated Hillary Clinton. They were pretty sure they were going to lose this election and they definitely didn't want Clinton to win it
-They thought they stood a better chance against Obama than Clinton. Funny how that worked out.I agree with Jessicar. we stopped laughing when we seen the literals were believing obamas lies we didn't think they would believe his BSThey thought the last thing in the world that would happen is that a "Black Person" could be elected.
