Outpost isn't showing an icon in the tray but its running and no errors in event viewer nor the OP log. I am running the latest OP Pro. Get rid of the BSOD and this happens  :DThe tray icon comes back when ran either way or when i just shutdown and restart Outpost. This is most confusing. ;)Check the Registry entries for starting Outpost on your system using either MSConfig's Startup tab (for Win98/ME/XP) or RegEdit (for Win2K, check the HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun key). You should have an entry outpost.exe /waitservice - if that is present then I can't think of anything else.Just ran full AV and trojan scan with KAV and TDS-3. All cleanI got that dreaded BSOD again. I am gonna just wait on the next update and try back. ;) I will keep checking back too. I like the firewall better than any other. Surely like my true image, Agnitum will eventually make it work on my pc :D2.1.303.4009(314)
Its set on Normal. I tried to set to no tray icon and change back but that didnt help. :cool:What's the exact version number reported by Outpost? What startup optoin do you have selected? (Options/General/Startup).Are you running Outpost as a service (the Outpost main window indicates this with (Service Mode) in the titlebar) or as an application? Try running it in the other mode - e.g. if running as a service, shut it down and run outpost.exe via Windows Explorer; if running as an application, close it, start the Outpost service via Control Panel/Administrative Options/Services and then run outpost.exe.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
