What is the setting when Scrooge holds Tiny Tim on his shoulders in A Christmas Carol?

  • I am doing a diorama for a school project so this would help me lots.

  • I think they are in the Crachitt's Kitchen.

  • Bob Cratchit was coming into the house with Tiny Tim on his shoulders. The two were coming home from church. You could say it was through the main doorway into the kitchen or, rather, the main living area. I don't think they had a kitchen proper, but just one main room with a large fireplace and a table, etc.

Here's the quote from the story:
"So Martha hid herself, and in came little Bob, the father, with at least three feet of comforter exclusive of the fringe, hanging down before him; and his threadbare clothes darned up and brushed, to look seasonable; and Tiny Tim upon his shoulder. Alas for Tiny Tim, he bore a little crutch, and had his limbs supported by an iron frame." It's from Stave 3: The Second of the Spirits - http://www.online-literature.com/view.ph...

    I hope that helps.
