Allergies and sweaters???

  • I have really bad allergies...where my skin is affected by them breaking out in small rashes on my face and arms. Its lasting longer this year...and its getting cold. So, when I wear sweaters, the roughness irritates my skin, and its very hard to wear them....I don't want to freeze! Do you have any suggestions on how I could protect my arm, but at the same time wearing what I want?

  • layer your clothes! jcrew has really soft long-sleeved crew necks/v-necks. some are regular weight and others are "tissue tees" [very thin]. The tissue tees would be really smart with a sweater because they wont add too much heat with a sweater, nor will you look bulky. And there is no need to just wear scratchy sweaters... what about button-ups with crew neck shirts? or sweatshirts. Even try the more expensive cashmere, they definitely wont be itchy against your skin.

If your rashes are really bad, have you seen an allergist or a dermatologist? or even your regular doctor so you can get a steroid cream to help?
