my friends are convinced it doesn't have as much creeps as myspace but im not so sure. they have facebooks but i would much rather have a myspace if i ever got one. so is it??I doubt it. I love Facebook and I actually use it more than Myspace, but on Facebook anybody can see your last name and networks no matter what privacy settings you use.
Also, it has places ( which are optional ) for addresses and phone numbers. Plus, since you have to privatize each little thing seperately it can be confusing when you first start. I know I had a few privacy issues with this when I first started. While on Myspace it's just one button for everything. ( Unless you use 2.0, but hardly anyone does. )
Despite all of this though, I would still say that Facebook is relatively safe as long as you use common sense. ( Such as don't write your address then make it public. )
Well not since they opened it to the world in early summer 2007. The new facebook is terrible. Loads slowly, applications are really annoying. What happened to the main point of facebook? to be really simple and just a way to keep in touch? its like a game world every time i sign oni think so- there are many more privacy settings, and you can be sure every little thing is blocked.
