What do you think is the best ever invention?

  • The glass mirror because we men use it to shave, women for make up etc. we use them on the exterior and interior of cars, dentists need them, they are fitted in binoculars, telescopes and microscopes and SLR camera's. Solar panels are now the way forward which have mirrors and these are just a few to mention. A marvellous invention tthat we take for granted. Life would so be different without them.


  • The computer. I am amazed that we can all help each other out from different parts of the world....Thank you whoever invented the personal computer!


  • I say the remote control, i'd hate to see a world where we'd have to get up to change a channel especially with 500 channels.


  • nuclear warfare


  • light bulb... without it we would be in the dark....

  • computer.because if you didn't have it you would be left wondering now wouldn't you!

  • Penicillin, for saving millions of lives.
    Alternatively, the printing press for bringing literature (aka information) to the people.

  • The wheel by a clear mile....

    No car's, machinery etc.

    Where would we be...


  • The use of sounds to make a language. Unlike many of the other answers this was not a discovery but an invention which took much patience to determine and to develop.
