Private flag is not supported

  • I would like to set private flag in outlook and synchronization with OX. I saw the log and source of OX. I think so, that 4.2.19 OXTender has a problem, because the private_flag value in sent XML by OXTender is NULL everytime.

    Could everybody help me in this problem?

    i just tested this with the OXtender 4.2.22 and OX 0.8.8-1 - but there were no changes at the OXtender regarding the private flag. As you can see, the "private" flag is set correctly.

    the XML Traffic i posted above was the sync direction outlook->ox. Are there any error messages at the log?


  • Anyone? This _really_ is a major problem, since private flags are not set for fun.

    Together with the OX support I debugged the problem using Outspy (http://www.dimastr.com/outspy/).
    An appointment synced via Nokia PC Suite has no property flag "private", which OXtender looks for. The information if the appointment is private or not it stored in property flag PR_SENSITIVITY (set to "2" means private, set to "0" means public).

    This additional check should not be hard to be implemented by the OXtender developers. The guy from OX support opened a bug report and stated "i hope in the next version of oxtender the flag PR_SENSITIVITY will be checked correctly". I'm hoping so, too :)

    The private_flag is only in response, from OX server to Outlook. We don't understand.
    How did you do the test?

    We used 4.2.22 OxTender.

    like already posted i'm not able to reproduce this. I believe that this issue occurs in your environment and my advice is to file a support ticket (you're eligible as a paying customer) to get a personal contact to a support specialist.

  • I agree with that (and slowly but constantly all those bugs and missing responses from the OX team for this paid solution are getting on my nerves).

    I got appointments marked private in Outlook, but my colleagues are able to see them (both OXtender and OX GUI). Cross checking in my OX GUI, they're not marked as private there.

    Strange behaviour: Unmark them and mark them again in Outlook seems to help. So updates of an appointment seem to "support" the private flag, but not new appointments.

    Yes, the private flag is correct, when I create or modify in OX server an appointment in Calendar and I see that in outlook calendar. I see correct setted private checkbox in Outlook. (private_flag sync direction: from OX server to Outlook)

    But, the private flag is null everytime, when I create an appointment or modify an exists in Outlook. (private_flag sync direction: from Outlook to OX server)

    Wir nutzen das System OXEE 6.4.1-13 mit Oxtender 6.0.3.3

    I think so, there is a little difference between own and your system.
