Alright this might be a realy stupid question but i have done very little work with shared objects so i dont know. Is it possible to acces a shared object from a different swf than it was created from? Basically what i have is a tile based game and i want to create a level editor for it so i just need to one swf to save an array then the other one to load it. I've been playing around with it a bit and i cant get it to work so i thought i'd ask here so if its not possible, i dont waste any more time.Aha, nice :) thanksIts good to know i can do that but it kinda doesnt help me cos i wanted to run both swfs from the net, so they would be in seperate locations and that wouldnt work. Thanks anyway. This isn't possible, apparently.
I just did a quick test with two files, one setting the data and the other tracing it, but it always returns undefined. Its pretty simpel to read data thats created with flash.
If you use a slash as youre path, it can be read by other sfw's on the same domain.
test the swfs i attached.
edit, if you look at the readcook first, you get an undefined, but thats because theres no data yet, you have to do the setcook first#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
