Hi there, can someone explain to me what the social background or the background of England was in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I?
Thanks in advance.
The Elizabethan Era was known as the English Renaissance. It was a time of a flourishing of the arts in England (Shakespeare anyone?). Unlike her father Henry VIII or her sister Mary Tudor, Elizabeth left religion alone.Ummmm. You mean who her family was? She was a Tudor. Her father was King Henry VIII and her mother was Anne Boleyn.
If you need information on the SOCIETAL NORMS of the period, you SEARCH: "Elizabethan Society". There are rules about doing your own research for your homework, you know. Pure evil was her background.Well, I know that England was a newly Protestant country... those who weren't Protestant and therefore didn't attend Protestant ceremonies were fined. Other than that, I only know that theatre arts - plays, dance, and the like - were highly popular and education/conversation was focused mostly on the literature of the time. There are thousands of websites that will tell you what people wore, what they ate, what they did for entertainment, etc. in the Elizabethan age.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
