Question about Reflectors

  • Just wondering what you (myself included) folks that have limited budgets use for reflectors. Plain white poster board? I have been looking at the collapsable window shades for cars, the ones that are silverized (like a movie screen) with the wire around the edge that POP open, not the fan folded ones. I will be taking Prom and Graduation pictures soon and want to shoot outside.

    Suggestions?

  • Get a silver and a gold sunshade. The gold's for a warmer more daylighty tone and the silver just reflects straight light.


  • You can use any of those things...or anything else that you can find. Remember that the color of the reflector will affect the light coming off if it...so if you don't want to introduce another color, use silver or white or grey etc.
