Our first and second are 2yrs 4mo apart. This wasn't by choice, we have fertility problems. We're now ready to think about trying for a third. I'd like to start now (closest they would be is 17mo) because it took so long the first two times. I do not want #2 and #3 too far apart. If you have kids between 18mo and 2 years apart, what are the advantages/disadvantages? thanks! :)My friend has just had her second, and they are less than two years apart. Her daughter was a little bully, and having a baby in the house has really toned her down. She just loves him! Once they get that bit older, babies become boring things, rather than objects of fascination. That's one reason we're having our second so soon after the first. There'll be 20 months between them.
However, there is a difference between having a second and having a third. Do you think you can handle 3 such small children? Life would be a bit easier if your oldest was toilet trained and able to make her (or his) own toast.HI, well I think if it is 2 years, it's better than 18 mo. because your body has more time to replenish your stores for the next baby. When you don't have any stores, you are going to pay as the baby will take them from your bones, teeth, etc. and that is not good for your health. Let your body prepare. My 2 youngest are 16months apart and its hard work. They both are in nappies both demand my constant attention and both still have a bottle. Both will start to cry together an both still wake at night. The bast age gap is about 2.5yrs to 3 years apart because the older child is more independant and you have more time with the baby.i Think the closer the better then they can grow up together, Espeacially if you find it takes a long time to fall pregnant, then start now. I have a 2 year 11 month old a 18 and a half month old and another will be born on Friday.
Good luck#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
