Yes. No matter wear you get a tattoo it hurts. Some people handle it better than others.the upper back did not hurt me but the lower back. omg i thought i was going to die it took me to sessions to just finish a little *** tattoo. lol. i have alot of tattoos and the place that it hurt me to the most was my lower back.A tattoo hurts regardless of where you get it. There are places on the body that hurt less than others...like on the back...the area over the spine or near the tailbone are going to hurt more. There is bone there and there are alot more nerves along that area.Three tattoos all on my back, the pain was worth itOnce the outline gets completed the fill in no hurt, as the outline makes area numb, I enjoy the feeling have several on back. GOOD LUCK, I generally tat myself with attitude, like getting pain done, either I pierce something, or I go for tat, release of stress, applying pain...................GOD BE WITH YOU. remember sanitation, and hepitis can come from tating, research the parlor call BBB see how many complaints filed how long in business.It's not so much of a hurt, but more of an annoyance. Directly over the spine, near your neck makes you feel almost like your teeth are vibrating together. As with any tattoo over bone though, that area also seems to be a tender area, the rest of the back though is not near as bad as directly over the spine.
As with any body modification, the level of pain a person feels is different from everyone else. Don't get yourself psyched up thinking "OMG this is gonna hurt" because you will be programming yourself to feel pain which will intensify any pain that you feel. Just remain calm and relaxed and the pain level will be a lot less.no i dont think it did but it alldependes on ur pain tolerance, i didnt even know the guy that did mine had done anything untill i looked at it in the mirrorYup. All tats hurt, but when you get them over bone, like your spine, it hurts that much worse!YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!It depends on your pain tolerance. I found that it was more an annoyance than anything. The sensation feels like a combination of scratching and pricking.Of course! It hurts anywhere you get a tattoo unless you are numb there.
Have someone stick a pin/needle there a few times.
