When I go to the masjid for school I always wear a jilbab. ( I think thats in somalian, but it means a full hijab) But moslty when I go to school I wear a hijab that covers my head down to about my belly button..and I'm wondering if this is appopriate to school because I also have gym. I tried wearing the full ones but its really hard because of my backpack and especially gym. my older sister doesn't wear any of those but the ones you tie behind you neck and it shows your whole neck and ears...
Anyways is it appropriate, or should I stick to wearing the full length one? the one I wear covers everything that needs to be covered..Yes, that's appropriate. Everything accept your face and hands must be covered, so unfortunately, the way your sister wears hers is wrong. You can also wear loose pants, a loose, long, long sleeved blouse with a hijab that just covers your head and neck or your head, neck, and chest.

Peace be upon you and Allah (SWT) knows best. lol this one is fine or maybe just cover ur hair with ithi there..xD..ummm i dont think you need 2 wear the ultra long one..(iv noticed a lot of somalians do that) ..i dont see why u shd wear another long layer over ur clothes anyway..if theyr already modest enough...just dont wear ultra fitted skin tight shirts..??my point of view..as long as its draped over ur chest area..then thats fine..JUST MY OPINION tho..i dont ever wear it sooo long down till my bellybutton..i just pin it up nicely but make sure its not showing cleavage..or my chest..if u get what i mean..(plus the long ones might be a bit annoying..especially for school..)
BUT never ever where it so its like a bandana..tied back just covering the hair with the rest of ur neck,ears and chest...just wrap it up once..pin it with a nie pin..tuck n fix n drape a few places..n VOILA...xDHi!
I am Somalian too! I wear a Jilbab to school,it is very comfortable.
I think it it best if you stick with the Jilbab.
