Need Advice. Looking to have tattoo on my right inner calf?

  • I have never had a tattoo before so please bare with me. I was wondering would I have to shave my leg before having it done?
    Also after it has been done and its all healed, would you recommend to keep shaving my leg so my tattoo stands out or would I get away with just trimming the hairs so their not thick.

  • They'll shave it for you, so no need to do it yourself. Whether you want to keep shaving it afterward is up to you, it's a myth that once you shave it grows back thicker so don't worry about that. I would give it at least a month healing time before you shave it if you decide that you want to keep shaving. Just remember that when ever it's in sunlight even for just a little you'll want to keep a high SPF sunscreen on it to keep it from aging badly.


  • You can shave if you want, but the tattoo artist will shave the area that will get ink before he/she starts.

    you can continue to shave the area if you wish, but I would wait until there are no more scabs on the tattoo before you started to shave. Unless you're super hairy, the tattoo will still be noticeable without shaving the area.


  • They shave it at the place 4 you- and If you are a chick shave-If your a dude dont shave unless your gonna shave all of both your legs
