Would it be too much trouble in each release to provide a list of the FILES that were added or changed? I just finished upgrading to 4.60.2 and now I see there is a 4.60.3 available. If you only changed 5 or 6 or even 10 files, it would be so much easier to just grab those files and upload them individually.
I understand that in most cases, I'd still have to upload and run the updater, but I think this would help a lot.Hi,
The files modified by each release can be seen in our release notes: http://www.activecampaign.com/support/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4
Please let us know if you have any further questions.Yes I think that is what he was looking for. We are looking into and working on some ideas to ease the upgrade process and should have some new options in the near future to make this easier on all of our clients.
Just let us know if you should have any other areas of feedback and/or questions.I think what visionburst was referring to was not a list of the files, but rather a zip of the files, so we didn't have to download and manually go through the entire program. for those of us who keep on top of the updates this would be a tremendous time-saver.With some of the other web software I download regularly, you can easily identify and isolate the changed files in the zip file by simply opening it in Winzip and sorting by modified date. Then, before extracting the file, I simply delete all of the files modified before my last upgrade.
But for some reason, the way you save the zip file, everything in the file reflects the same modified date, even if it wasn't modified.
If you can address that issue, you'd have a workable solution.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
