Audio playing at half-speed in video

hi,

i have a television series being streamed to my xbox, and this one episode plays back fine except that the audio is at half-speed. when i press black for the information, it shows that the audio is going steadily out of sync.

the video is xvid, and the audio track is atsc (digital television) ac3 @ 48khz, 192kbps, which should be just fine with the xbox's audio chip with no resampling. the file plays back just fine on my pc, but not on my xbox. i think it's a problem with the file, since it's only this one episode (all the other eps stream just fine), but then again, it plays back when i watch it on my pc.

any help? i'm using the sep 21 2005 build of xbmc, version 1.1.0. mplayer version: mplayer dev-cvs-050906-20:54 (sep 6, 2005)
