No offense to Atheists. Why do Atheists come pray EVERYTIME there is a death or something they want?
They always pray, and turn to God when there is a death, but after words they continue to break half the commandments continuously. This doesn't happen once, it's happened maybe 3 or 4 times? In two different schools.
Maybe they are reaching out try to solve their pain, yes, but then what? Afterward they forget what God has done for them.
I wasn't in a good mood, I felt bad about a recent death. I look up at an atheist deep in prayer and think, "Who are you kidding?" I was right in one week he was back to slandering God in RE.
Yeah, it's clear to actual atheists that those kids aren't really atheists. And I'd like to know how you come about calling them that. Is it because they actually say they are? Or is it because you simply judge them as imperfect, therefor they are bad bad atheists? And if so, yeah gee thanks for the insult.
P.S. I've never prayed, even in facing the worst loss I've even known.
Perhaps they are meditation, and not actually praying to a deity.
You do understand atheist don't pray or believe in gods.
However, using the term as a label is part of the process.
Your friends will decide what to believe or not in time, when maturity comes.
On the same token, claiming to be religious doesn't makes a person a believer either.
And in the end... what do you care?
Then they are not really atheist then are they?
More than likely they are either merely confused kids trying to fit into one group or another, or they're being rebels towards their parents for placing them into a religious school. Either way, I doubt if they are indeed atheists in any true sense of the word.
I dunno what type of atheist YOU know but the atheists I know do NOT believe in invisible sky things AND therefore do NOT pray to them.
.
Alicia, just like you believe there's a Santa to not believe in?
Btw, I'd like to know what school you attend where people die that frequently that you can accurately judge this.
atheists don't... can't break 'commandments' they don't even live by... its the Christians that break commandments.
Its like those nutty Muslims yelling "You insult me you die!" No, your law only allows you to kill MUSLIMS that insult you. You take a swing at someone else, and you will get a black eye, buddy.
You see--MOST OF THE PEOPLE HERE WILL PUT YOU DOWN BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT COME UP WITH A PLAUSIBLE ARGUMENT FOR THEIR CASE!
If one has not proof they resort to ATTACKS..
enough said..
If you're an atheist, there's no prayer involved.
Simple as that.
I went to school in the UK were religous assembly is mandatory and we had to say the Lords prayer at the end. Now I've been an atheist since I was 8 but it took me a good few years to realise that I didn't *have* to say it and then another year before I even stopped bowing my head and closing my eyes.
Also I swear on my cats life that I have never ever prayed to anything let alone a god when there has been a death.
Really what you're saying is a handful of people brought up in a deeply religious background going to a deeply religous school didn't want to rock the boat. Shocking.
