Newbie Question: Chinese translation

  • First off, I know nothing about running message boards, and have very limited knowledge of program editting and stuff.

My situation is, now I want to run a board in Simplified Chinese (the one used in Mainland China, not big5). I've been on several forums that are vBulletin, I like the design and all.

I've seen translated vBulletin messageboards. So my question is how exactly can I do so? What version of vBulletin shall I purchase, where can I find the language pack or who can do the translation?

I appreciate for any inputs. Thanks in advance.

  • You would be better off waiting for vB3 since it will include the ability to easily create and manage Language Packs.

Edit in templates, requires no programing but time.

  • Thanks for prompt answer!

I would like to translate the Vbulletion Message in to Chinese. Please tell me where can I go? in CP?

    Yes.

  • vB3 RC4 is out (available in the members area to download once you have a license), however there is no projected date when vB3 Gold is due.

  • Yes, you can already do this in the vB3 RC4 Admin CP. You will need to purchase a license of course.

  • When will VB3 come out?
