How do you make bread without yeast or beer?

  • can you just use baking powder


  • You can make flat bread with water, flour, and a pinch of salt. I did it once as I was about to serve dinner (chicken wraps) and realised that - duh! - there WAS no bread! A few cups of plain flour, enough water to make it as thick as pancake mix, and a pinch of salt. Then pour some into a hot, oiled pan like a big pancake and flip it when it starts to bubble.


  • yeast makes it rise. Beer wtf?


  • Helen, you can delete the beer. It is highly recommended that yeast be used or all you be left with would be a lump, or a mess.
