WASHINGTON, D.C., Aug. 10--Political activist Web site SpeakOut.com said it is acquiring Chicago-based VoxCap.com LLC, which runs the oldest public policy and community-building portal, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition encompasses VoxCap's network of sites including Policy.com, VoxCap.com, IntellectualCapital.com and Congressvote.com, which will all be integrated into the SpeakOut.com site.

SEATTLE, Aug. 11--Bazillion, a broadband communications company, has announced the acquisition of Concord Technologies, a leading provider of IP-based messaging services. The combining of the two companies will enable Bazillion to integrate Concord's award-winning enhanced messaging services with its broadband technology, resulting in a unique offering of communication solutions to consumers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
