all the other hey strokes work fine but not the @ so I can't type in
my email address. How do I change it?thanks to all...My German keyboard has the @ sign at "alt Gr" with Q. "Alt Gr" is a
key to the right of the space bar. The "Alt Gr" (= alternate upper
case) is a misnomer, it
shifts to symbols adjacent to the primary item on the key, {[ for
example on the keys for 7 and 8, or on the M key.
If you are using Word (and probably other text software) you can click
on a field at the top of the screen (mine is German: "Einf gen":
insert, symbols, ...?) and find the @ and give it a two key code, say,
"ctrl A". I don't know if this will work when you are in your email
account. It doesn't work for me here or there with non-English
letters I have coded. My @ sign is two keys along to the right from the L key and produces '
when I click it (with or without the Shift being pressed). I have
tried very key near it and they all work except for the # key .
My key board is not dirty, all keys actually work, but simply doesn't
produce the @ sign.Perhaps this will solve the problem.
Problem: Dirty Keyboard
Resolution: Clean Keys
1. Pry up keys and use alcohol to clean area under keys.
2. Replace keyswhat keyboard layout are you using? in the U.S., most keyboards have
the @ sign as what is produced when you hold shift and hit the 2 key
above the letter keys.another thought -- the key two keys to the left of the 'L' on U.S.
keyboards is the ' key. maybe your computer has an incorrect keyboard
layout active?Hi
Where is your @ key located?
On most keyboards it is 2 keys to the right of "L".
The reason I am asking is, on my keyboard the @ key is printed on a
different key, which does not work.
However, if I press the key 2 keys to the right of the "L" key, which
is marked with something else, I actually get the @ sign.that should read KEY strokes not hey strokesMany thanks to amglasgow-ga - I tried using shift 2, it worked!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
