What are my chances of getting into these architecture universities as a transfer student? Please help!!?

I'm really depress right now, since I've just talked to the representative from Cal poly pomona. She said my chance of getting into Cal poly is pretty slim since the school is really impacted. They only accept 3.8 gpa students out of 2000 applications for transfer student.
:( My GPA. is 3.60. I haven't take any architecture class yet. I will complete the GE by spring. This is my 3rd yr, therefore my parents really pressuring me to either transfer for my favorite major if I get accepted or go toward nursing major again if I get rejected. I wasted my first year of college on biology classes.

Now what? November is almost over. What can I do?
Another school I applied to is cal poly SLO.

I'm considering applying to out of state universities such as,
Auburn university
Carnegie Mellon University
University of Texas

and I know this is impossible, but how about prestigious school such as,
Rice University
Syracuse University
Rhode Island school of Design?

Should I even bother applying for these school, or I should just give up and follow my parents decision?

I applied for Cal Poly SLO back when I was in HS and my GPA was great, but my SAT score was below expectations... but I got selected for a portfolio review in order to get accepted (for their art program) about 100 out of thousand students were selected for this opportunity and only about 10 were going to make the cut... but unfortunately, I didn't have my portfolio ready, so I didn't turn it in and didn't get accepted. But I went to another school and I'm still an art major.
So anything is possible! Good Luck!
